Ingrid Fetell Lee is a designer, writer and speaker whose trailblazing work reveals how our environments shape our emotions and happiness.
A former design director at IDEO and author of Joyful: The Surprising Power of Ordinary Things to Create Extraordinary Happiness (2018), Ingird’s mission is to help people harness the power of design to find more joy in their lives. Her immensely popular TED talk “Where Joy Hides and How to Find it” (see opposite) has been viewed more than 17 million times.
Ingrid’s work has been featured in major publications such as The New York Times, Wired, PRI's Studio 360, CBC's Spark, Psychology Today, and Fast Company.
She has over twelve years of experience in design and branding, having led design programmes for Target, Condé Nast, Eileen Fisher, American Express, Kate Spade, Diageo, Pepsico, and the US government, among others. She was a founding faculty member in the Products of Design programme at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
