Ben Hammersley gave a barn-storming keynote at Internet Dagarna 2018 this morning on “How To Be A Futurist”.
He showed the audience how to think critically about emerging technologies, so they can make better strategic decisions for their organisations and for themselves.
In a speech packed full of insight and practical wisdom, the thing that particularly stayed with me was his concept at the end of “Constant Legacy-free Re-invention”. The idea is that for every physical action you make to achieve a certain task, you ask yourself: ‘if I had to solve the problem of achieving this task for the first time using modern tools, how would I do it?’ This is the key to being future-ready.
